The Opportunity

In this permanent, part-time role (0.8 FTE), you will:

  • Deliver high-quality, specialist nursing care to patients with ostomies in community and outpatient settings
  • Provide advanced clinical assessments, complex care planning, and education to patients and whānau
  • Act as a resource and clinical leader to other health professionals
  • Contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives

About you

You will be a Registered Nurse with:

  • A current APC and a full, clean New Zealand driver’s licence
  • A postgraduate qualification in ostomy or a related field (or working towards it)
  • At least 5 years’ post-registration experience, including senior nursing practice
  • Advanced assessment skills, clinical reasoning, and confidence working autonomously
  • A commitment to equity, Te Tiriti o Waitangi, and improving health outcomes for Māori

Additional requirement:

  • This role requires a valid VCA (Vulnerable Children’s Act) clearance
