About the Role
As a Clinical Pharmacist,you will apply best practice pharmaceutical knowledge and work in achieving the most optimal outcome for patients. You will carry out comprehensive reviews on patients, collect and report on clinical data, provide in-service training, carry out supervision of technicians and assistants, attend department meetings and identify opportunities to continuously grow.
This is a permanent position, part or full-time working up to 80 hours per fortnight (1.0 FTE), Monday to Friday 8.00am to 4.30pm with the occasional Saturday morning 9.00am to 12.00pm shift.
You will participate in our on-call roster. On call shifts cover evenings from 5.00pm to 7.30am and some weekends.
About the Team/Service/ Location
The Nelson Hospital Pharmacy Team is a dedicated group of pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and interns who provide safe and effective medication management across hospital wards and outpatient services. We work closely with medical, nursing, and allied health teams to ensure optimal medication use and patient outcomes.

About you
As a Clinical Pharmacist,you will
- Manage your time effectively and be able to multi-task,
- Work collaboratively with others whilst applying your problem solving skills and sense of humour,
- Be proficient with computers,
- Ideally have experience of pharmacy in a hospital environment,
- Hold current registration with the Pharmacy Council of New Zealand.
The successful candidate must be eligible to work in New Zealand or hold a valid NZ visa at the time of applying.
