About the role:
As our Configurations and Platforms Analyst, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring the health, accuracy, and maturity of our Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and IT Operations Management (ITOM) capabilities. Reporting to the Configurations & Platforms Lead, you’ll join one other C&P Analyst to design, implement, and continuously improve our ServiceNow CMDB and ITOM solutions, aligning them with ITIL best practices and supporting operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Owning the integrity and accuracy of the CMDB, including discovery, service mapping, and reconciliation processes.
- Designing, configuring, and optimising ITOM modules (e.g., Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, Orchestration).
- Monitoring CMDB and ITOM health, generating insights, and producing regular reports on data quality, system performance, and platform maturity.
- Driving automation and integration improvements that enhance visibility, efficiency, and stability of IT services.
- Maintaining clear documentation for CMDB models, platform configurations, integrations, and operational procedures.
- Providing technical expertise and support by identifying issues, troubleshooting complex ServiceNow configurations, and ensuring timely resolution.
About you:
You’ll bring a strong background in ServiceNow administration, platform configuration, and IT operations, with a particular focus on CMDB and ITOM practices. Known for being proactive and detail-oriented, you’ll have a passion for improving data quality, operational insights and platform capability. Ideally, you’ll also have:
- Proven experience in ServiceNow CMDB management and ITOM module configuration (Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, etc.).
- Solid understanding of ITIL processes, particularly around Configuration Management and IT Operations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex ServiceNow and integration issues.
- Familiarity with cloud-native infrastructure, APIs, and automation frameworks (e.g., CI/CD pipelines, orchestration tools).
- Excellent communication skills, able to translate technical detail and value to stakeholders
