We're seeking a consultant Paediatrician who thrives in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment and is driven to deliver exceptional care across acute and non-acute services.

About the Team/Service/ Location
Our team of paediatricians offer dedicated care for children, including paediatric admissions and support for the Level 2 Neonatal Unit and maternity deliveries.
With over 8,000 operative procedures every year, we - re a bustling centre for General Surgery, Orthopaedics, ENT, Gynaecology, Dental, Plastics, Reconstructive and Oral Maxillofacial procedures. With our newly increased capacity ICU we see over 600+ admissions per year, many who are paediatric.
Our Child Health Service at Hutt Hospital is bursting with heart, expertise, and a whole lot of smiles. With a passionate team of 11 general, developmental, adolescent, and community paediatricians (both full-time and part-time), we - re proud to offer a wide spectrum of paediatric care that supports kids and families at every stage.
We - re closely connected with the Paediatric Team at Wellington Hospital - just 20 minutes away - working hand-in-hand to provide seamless care across the region.
Hutt Hospital proudly hosts medical students from the University of Otago, offering rich learning experiences within our paediatric department. As an accredited training site with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, we - re helping shape the future of paediatric care, one registrar at a time.
Capital, Coast and Hutt Valley district is located centrally in Wellington and has over 6,000 full-time equivalent staff, making us one of the major employers in the Wellington region. We operate three hospitals - Wellington Regional Hospital in Newtown, Hutt Valley Hospital and Kenepuru Hospital in Porirua - as well as the Kāpiti Health Centre at Paraparaumu.
About you
- Vocationally registered in Paediatrics with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ)
- FRACP or equivalent qualification and be able to register for with the MCNZ
- Work in collaboration with multidisciplinary team
- Able to provide consistently high standards of medical care
- Brings relevant experience and training aligned with paediatric best practices
