About the role | Kōrero mō te tūranga

We are seeking a visionary and dynamic candidate to lead our student recruitment strategy and drive the right growth across all audiences. This is a pivotal role where you will oversee the student recruitment strategies for the university. You will be a key leader responsible for crafting and executing comprehensive strategies that align with our goals and values. Your strategic vision and expertise will be instrumental in driving student applications and enhancing our brand and reputation.

You will:

  • Lead AUT's student recruitment strategy, aligning with our strategic goals and enhancing our brand reputation.
  • Develop innovative inbound and outbound recruitment initiatives, including engagement with secondary schools, communities, priority groups, and key events.
  • Build and nurture relationships with internal and external stakeholders - from careers advisors and principals to faculty leaders and service units.
  • Champion a customer-first approach, delivering a Gold Class experience for prospective students.
  • Manage a high-performing team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous development.

About you | Kōrero mōu

Are you a dynamic and visionary educator with a keen understanding of growth strategies and brand reputation? You will bring with you

  • An undergraduate or postgraduate degree in Business, Education, or a related field.
  • Extensive leadership experience in strategic planning and student recruitment (10+ years in senior management).
  • A deep understanding of contemporary education trends, equity and diversity principles, and the secondary/tertiary education landscape.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking, communication, and relationship-building skills.
