Taitara Mahi - Emergency Management Team Leader

Council’s Risk team works to drive excellent emergency management practices within the Council as well as working alongside emergency services and key response agencies.
We are seeking a dynamic Team Leader with Emergency Management experience to join our team and lead our efforts in preparing communities and Council to handle emergencies. Known for their interpersonal skills and ability to create high performing teams, the successful candidate will be able to run interactive and engaging workshops to drive forward community resilience planning across the district.

To be successful in this role you will:
- A good understanding of emergency management and community resilience.
- Practical experience leading effective teams.
- Have experience with community planning and running workshops.
- Have excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- Be innovative and proactive approach to solving problems
