Our Community Development and Events team provide support, advice and resources to community, arts, voluntary and events organisations.
The Opportunity
We have a fixed term (11 month) opportunity to join our Events team as an Event Producer. You'll join our dedicated Events team to deliver a dynamic portfolio of events that reflect the spirit of Dunedin. You'll also play a key role in supporting communities with expert advice and practical event assistance. This is a varied and fast-paced role, ideal for someone who enjoys working collaboratively, communicates confidently with a range of stakeholders, and brings at least five years' experience in event management.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support the delivery of a wide range of city events
- Collaborate across Council teams, with stakeholders and contractors to ensure events are high-quality, on time, and within budget
- Promote and assess event grant applications in line with Council's funding processes
- Contribute to marketing initiatives within the Events team, bringing fresh, efficient, and creative approaches
About You
You'll bring experience, energy, and creativity to the role, along with:
- A relevant tertiary qualification or strong industry experience
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- A collaborative, values-driven approach to work
- Exceptional attention to detail
- A flair for event planning and delivery
