Salary Range: General Salary Range G: $67,658 to $78,771 depending on skills and experience
About the Role - Korero mo te Turanga
Be the vital support for two Directors in Policy and Trade by bringing your positive energy, administrative and coordination skills, and commitment to building strong professional relationships to contribute to the smooth running of the directorates.
In this role you will:
- Provide Directors with tailored administrative and secretarial support
- Manage diaries and ensure that Directors are fully prepared for all their meetings and engagements.
- Manage the flow of information through the Directors' offices to ensure that documentation is tracked and processed within the required timeframes, and escalate urgent matters as required.
- Develop and maintain positive and trusted professional relationships with Directorate managers and staff, Ministers' offices and other external stakeholders.
- Work flexibly and collaboratively with other Executive Coordinators and the broader Business Support team to ensure that support for Policy and Trade is delivered effectively.

- You like to understand the "why" behind what you're working on because you know that context helps you understand priorities.
- You're confident with the Microsoft suite of products and quick to learn new systems and tools.
About the Team - Mo to matou Ropu
This is a Wellington based role which is part of the broader Policy and Trade Business Support Team. The team works together to provide an agile and responsive approach to the changing needs of the Business Unit. The team culture is supportive and fun where everyone looks out for each other and provides back-up support as required. You'll also be part of the two Directorates that your Directors lead - a great way to learn about and be part of the work of MPI Policy and Trade.
