Our Group Business Operations and Secretariat Team (GBOS) is one of the functions of the Strategy and Executive Services Division at the Treasury. We provide Ministerial servicing and support for the Minister for Infrastructure.
Korero mo te turanga | About the Role
We have a rare opportunity for an ambitious Advisor to work with us on a 12 months fixed term basis on the following work:
- coordinating across the Treasury on infrastructure priorities, including the provision of regular reporting to the Minister for Infrastructure
- providing secretariat services for monthly Infrastructure and Investment Ministers Group meetings and weekly Infrastructure Officials meetings
- establishing strong relationships with the Minister for Infrastructure and their office, infrastructure and capital-intensive agencies, as well as Treasury teams.

- Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills
- Highly effective planning and organisational skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including an ability to write documents that are clear, concise and in plain English
- Ability to manage routine tasks and consistently maintain high standards
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to QA work
- An understanding of the machinery of government
- Experience in governance and providing secretariat support preferred
- A relevant tertiary qualification is preferred or relevant on the job experience
- Ability to meet the criteria required to hold an appropriate security clearance.
