We’re looking for an experienced Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) Programme Lead to drive continuous improvement across our HSE performance. In this strategic role, you’ll guide the implementation of our HSE strategy, align safety and environmental practices with organisational goals, and embed innovative approaches to risk management and stakeholder engagement.
Reporting to the Head of HSE, this role will partner closely with the HSE leadership team and lead an HSE Coordinator, building capability across the business and integrating HSE processes into daily operations.
- Drive the implementation of the Critical Risk Framework across operational business units.
- Oversee risk assessments, incident investigations, and learning teams to identify and address systemic issues.
- Champion digital innovation in HSE, including, AI, and data-driven safety insights.
- Lead performance monitoring, reporting, and benchmarking against industry standards.
- Support policy development, governance, and compliance audits to ensure organisational readiness.
- Mentor and coach HSE professionals and operational leaders to build internal capability and foster a proactive safety culture.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align HSE strategies with organisational priorities.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Health, Safety, Environmental Management or related field.
- 4–6 years’ experience managing HSE systems in large, complex organisations.
- Proven leadership and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation.
- Excellent communication skills, able to simplify complex concepts and influence at all levels.
