Carp Investments Ltd is a well-established construction company, which integrates the full service from design to construction. We are looking for ICT Technician to join our team, to support the digitalization of the company operation.
Salary Range: $30-40 per hour depends on skills and experience
Location: In Auckland range
Minimum hours per week: 30 hours at least
What you'll need to succeed:
Qualification equivalent to NZQF Level 5 or higher in Computer science or relevant major.
Honest, reliable, hardworking with a 'can do' attitude and willing to learn
Attention to detail and able to see projects through to completion
Excellent work ethic and great time management
Passion for the industry
The role will include, but not limited to:
- Install, configure, and maintain IT hardware, including computers, servers, printers, routers, and switches, ensuring smooth operation of tablets and mobile devices used for project tracking and communication.
- Deploy and optimize local and wide area networks (LAN, VPN, Wi-Fi), ensuring reliable connectivity across office and construction sites, and administer the email system.
- Maintain IT asset records, overseeing procurement, registration, inventory, and end-of-life processing.
- Design, implement, and monitor internal network systems, perform system updates, software installations, and routine maintenance.
- Respond to enquires, and determine software and hardware requirements to provide tailored solutions to technical issues, including industry-specific software including AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, and Navisworks.
- Adapt and configure applications to meet evolving user or business needs, develop scripts or automation tools to streamline repetitive tasks and support business efficiency.
- Support project management systems such as Procore, Buildxact, Trello, and SafeWise.
- Train Engineering and Construction teams in software use and troubleshoot field-related device/app issues.
- Conduct regular data backups, including design files, financial data, and operational records, and ensure the security of data and system
- Optimize server and cloud storage performance for high-efficiency access and data integrity.
- Ensure IT systems are compliant with data privacy regulations and industry standards.
- Manage content updates and maintenance for the company website when required
- Support the adoption of new technologies, including AI, cloud computing, drone mapping, IoT, and BIM data integration.
