Join our Learner Support Team in 2025! We are seeking motivated and detail-oriented individuals to fill the role of Learner Support Advisor at our city campus. This is exciting opportunity for someone who speaks Thai, Chinese, or Japanese and wants to empower learners to achieve academic success in a supportive, creative, and culturally diverse environment. Mō tēnei tūranga mahi / The Opportunity
- Be the welcoming face of NZSEG at the front desk, assisting students and visitors with queries and appointments
- Ensure all learners receive timely support, guidance, and encouragement on academic and pastoral matters
- Provide efficient administrative support to the International Student Recruitment team, ensuring smooth operations and timely documentation.
- Coordinate student inductions, workshops and facilitate engaging orientation sessions
- Build strong relationships with students, staff and external support networks
- Refer students to professional services when appropriate and involve support networks as needed
- Report on outcomes, analyze feedback, and work toward continuous improvement
- Support NZSEG Te Ao Māori initiatives and help foster a culture of respect and empowerment

You are a natural people’s person and enjoy the thrill of supporting students.
- Fluency in Thai, Chinese, or Japanese is essential
- Excellent command of the English language – both verbal and written
- Excellent relationship management, communication, and customer service skills
- High level of patience, empathy, and cultural sensitivity toward students
- Experience in student support roles in New Zealand
- Competency with Microsoft Office 365 and Teams
- Strong organizational skills, adaptability, and attention to detail
- Commitment to confidentiality and non-judgemental support
- Friendly and professional demeanor suited to a front desk environment
