Librarian – Hibiscus and Bays Local Board
We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join our team as a Librarian in the Hibiscus and Bays Local Board. This role is based at Whangaparāoa Library but will require flexibility to work within the local board libraries.
This position is a permanent 38-hour role working Sunday – Thursday.

- Build strong community connections and co-design engaging programmes.
- Promote library services and provide helpful advice on council offerings.
- Deliver excellent customer service with empathy, positivity, and professionalism.
- Manage multiple tasks with flexibility, attention to detail, and great teamwork.
- Support daily operations and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
- LIANZA registration, or working towards registration will be an advantage

This is a permanent opportunity working 38 hours per week. Our library is open seven days a week and you would be required to work a regular weekend day. As a part on the wider Hibiscus and Bays Local Board whanau, flexibility is required regarding hours and location.

This role is a band F, we would be looking to appoint the successful candidate at a salary of between $76K - $89K dependant on experience.
