Are you a water enthusiast with a passion for keeping others safe? Todd Energy Aquatic Centre are on the lookout for Casual Lifeguards to dive into our team!
Hours could include early starts Monday to Friday, weekends and public holidays.
Key Responsibilities | Ngā haepapa matua
Ensure health and safety is maintained through actively supervising all activities within the centre and district pools that meet industry standards and respond to any incidents and emergency situations.
Assist with performing water chemical tests to ensure quality of pool water.
Actively ensure that legislative requirements and Council policies and procedures are fulfilled, particularly in relation to all key relevant legislation
Essential Skills and Experience | Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako
You'll need to be a capable swimmer and can stay calm in busy and pressured situations.
As part of the recruitment process, you will be required to undergo a swim test which includes swimming 200 metres in under 6 minutes and to tread water for 5 minutes.
For these roles you do need to be at least 16 years old.
We’ll provide the training so you can achieve your Pool Lifeguard Practicing Certificate, all you would need is a current Comprehensive First Aid Certificate.
