Mō te tūnga | About the role

The Management Assistant contributes to the overall performance of the Police Executive by providing professional executive assistance and support to the Commissioner and wider Police Executive.

The position enables the Police Executive to carry out their strategic objectives successfully and efficiently by providing high quality assistance, administration, and secretarial support and contributing to the efficient coordination and management of the activities of the Commissioner and wider Police Executive.

The position serves as a first point of contact for the Police Executive and will contribute to high trust and confidence in the Police Executive. It will also support the Executive Assistants to perform their functions by providing overflow support and back up during absences.

Key Accountabilities:
Support the smooth operation of the Commissioner’s office through professional administrative and managerial support.
Build and maintain strong relationships across the organisation and externally, representing the Police Executive with integrity and discretion.
Manage confidential information systems and ensure secure, accurate flow of information.
Support strategic projects, travel coordination, and executive forums to enable delivery of key objectives.
Provide Executive Assistant support when required to other Executive members.

Utu ā-tau | Salary

This position is covered by a collective agreement and salary will commence between $69,337 and $ 72,430 dependent on skills and experience relevant to the role.
