About Us
Aotearoa Cars is a growing car dealership with one established yard and plans to expand to a second location. We are looking for a skilled and adaptable Technician to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who can work on a variety of vehicles, ensuring they are safe, reliable, and ready for our customers. We are happy to provide any additional training required if you obtain the technical knowledge. We are offering minimum 30 and maximum 40 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair electrical and general vehicle faults, ensuring smooth operation and roadworthiness.
- Install, repair, and maintain electrical components such as alarms, GPS systems, radios, and lighting.
- Conduct routine servicing, including inspections, fluid checks, and minor repairs to keep vehicles in top condition.
- Test and troubleshoot vehicle systems using diagnostic tools, addressing issues in wiring, batteries, and control units.
- Ensure all vehicles meet compliance and safety standards before they are sold.
- Maintain clear service records and communicate vehicle conditions to the team.
Skills & Experience
- Level 3 or Level 4 qualification in Automotive Electrical Engineering or any other Electrical field, as technical knowledge is a key requirement for us.
- Or Previous 3 year related work experience in this field
- Valid driver’s license.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
