We are seeking an experienced and strategic leader to join our People and Assurance Group as Manager - People Support Services.

This role is responsible for overseeing the critical infrastructure that supports our people operations, including payroll, remuneration, HR information systems (HRIS), analytics and reporting, and shared service delivery. With a portfolio budget of $3.6M and responsibility for a team of up to 10 kaimahi, you will lead the function that underpins employment experience, workforce planning, and operational compliance across the organisation.

Reporting to the Chief People and Assurance Officer, you will ensure the delivery of seamless, customer-focused services that support the employment lifecycle. You will also play a central role in developing strategic people reporting, advising on remuneration frameworks, and supporting the Board and leadership committees through insight-driven planning.

Ng pumanawatanga ou - What you will bring

  • Significant leadership experience in HR shared services or enterprise people operations
  • Proven track record in managing remuneration frameworks, payroll compliance and HRIS systems
  • Deep understanding of New Zealand employment legislation and workforce strategy
  • Commercial and strategic acumen, including project and budget management
  • Exceptional interpersonal and stakeholder relationship skills, including working with senior leaders
  • Confidence in leading systems-based teams to deliver accuracy, insight, and excellent service
  • Tertiary qualification in HR, business or a related discipline is preferred
