Manager, Valuations & Asset Management (PS&D)
A unique Manager role focused on leading the strategic growth of two disciplines based in Project Strategy & Delivery’s (PS&D) newly created national Valuations and Asset Management team. This Manager role leads these two complimentary advisory disciplines as they come together into one team to form a truly collaborative offering to our clients.
This is a broad leadership role where you’ll apply your tactical expertise to grow two distinct disciplines, while recognising their complementary strengths (and those of the wider PS&D service offerings) to deliver the best of Beca to the market. Success will rely on your people leadership, collaborative approach, innovative thinking, and strong commercial judgement. You’ll also drive project portfolio performance across Beca’s Strategic Advisory services, making a real impact for Beca’s clients and teams.
Te whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity
This is a new Section Manager leadership role within Project Strategy & Delivery (PS&D), with significant scope to make a difference. You will lead a newly formed team comprising our award-winning Valuations discipline and our growing Asset Management team. This team is known externally for their strategic consulting, and market leading technical knowledge and services to clients with portfolios of regional and national significance across New Zealand and with reach into Australia and the Pacific.
In this role, you will be at the forefront of our Valuations and Asset Management services for PS&D, leading, supporting, and promoting this team across our Land and Building, and Complex Plant and Machinery service offerings in the Valuations space. The team also provide technical advice and services covering Whole of life cost considerations, condition assessment and strategic advisory Asset Management. This position presents a unique opportunity to unify and develop a new team to collaborate and establish market propositions by discipline and collectively. You will also advocate for and promote the team, both internally and externally to the market, while ensuring the commercial success of these services. You will balance the capacity and capability of the team with future demand. You will be responsible for the team’s engagement, providing clear guidance to senior leaders on objectives, key market focus areas, and priority initiatives. Recognising and adapting priorities based on changing market conditions will be crucial for success in this role.
Our manager roles are challenging, dynamic and rewarding and you will use your relationship building, influencing, strategic thinking, business acumen abilities alongside commercial judgement across a wide portfolio of commissions. You will also play a business line leadership role across the wider PS&D business. You will be reporting to the Operations Manager, working with an established leadership team to foster a common way of working and approach to market, for our clients to ‘make everyday better’.

As a people leader, discipline champion and commercial leader, this role enables you to lead through the establishment of this section, bringing together a team from various parts of the business, from September 2025. You will be known as a leader who ‘sets the bar’ in terms of culture and professionalism. You will inspire a positive working environment, and you will know how to guide, develop, challenge, and inspire other professionals with experience in 1:1 development focused conversations. You will enjoy a challenge, be action focused, display the ability to balance competing time commitments, and comfortable with making commercial judgements. You will have (and be ready to develop) your broad management skills across strategy implementation, business development, operations, workflow delivery, financial management, and have a strong understanding of employment issues from a people leadership perspective.
As the Manager of Valuations and Asset Management, you will be part of the PS&D leadership team, working with other leaders to amplify our business for the Future. You'll contribute to a high-performing team, developing, implementing and/or leading business line initiatives. Ideally this role will be Auckland based where the centre of excellence for Valuations and most of the team are based. Some domestic travel will be required.
