Te Tūranga | About the Role
Silver Fern Farms is seeking a Master Data Specialist, whose core role is to uphold the integrity of our Product Library; the single source of truth for all of our finished product information.
The library includes critical specifications such as product details, packaging, labelling, and language translations, and is relied upon to ensure accurate and compliant data for both internal teams and our customers worldwide.
As part of our Master Data team, you’ll process and validate new requests, maintain data standards, and provide support across the business. You’ll play a vital role in ensuring compliance with regulatory, customer and company requirements, while enabling smooth operations for Sales, Operations, Planning, and FQEA teams.
This role will be based from our Dunedin Hub.

You’re detail-oriented, process-driven, and understand the value of data integrity. You’ll be interested in a role that allows you to:
- Take ownership of a critical dataset supporting global business success
- Collaborate across multiple teams and sites, building strong business knowledge
- Develop your skills as a subject matter expert in product data and systems
- Work in a supportive team environment committed to continuous improvement
To succeed in this role, you’ll bring:
- 3+ years’ experience in the meat industry or a data management environment
- Strong understanding of compliance, export regulations, and customer standards
- Proven accuracy and attention to detail in managing technical or operational data
- Excellent computer literacy and confidence with business systems – Trade, Triton, and Product Library.
- Clear communication skills, with the ability to support and train users
- A proactive, customer service approach with a positive, can-do attitude
