As the Material Planner and Master Data Controller you will be responsible for the maintenance and integrity of munitions master data.

Your primary duties in this role will feature:

  • Inventory management and codification.
  • Maintaining accurate Master Data and resolving data issues as they arise.
  • Developing, reviewing and maintaining accurate and relevant materiel plans.
  • Developing forecasting documents to enable accurate disposition of inventory using NZDF Budgeting tools and resources.
  • Verifying, preparing, and processing routine and detailed documentation relevant to the ammunition inventory.
  • Liaising with customers and stakeholders to ensure that the correct planning strategies are in place.

This role is located in Trentham but there may be times when you are required to travel to Kauri Point for work. Once you have undergone training and are up to speed, there is the option to discuss flexible working arrangements.

As the successful candidate, you will have a well-developed understanding of Supply Chain and Inventory Management along with the following:

  • Proven experience working in a Logistics environment.
  • In depth knowledge of Material Master Management functions and procedures.
  • Proven experience and competence with SAP, MS Office Suite, Codification and Material Requirements Planning.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills.

Low Level Security Clearance

  • You must be a New Zealand citizen or you must hold New Zealand Permanent Residence or have a current New Zealand Residency Class Visa.
  • At minimum, you must hold New Zealand Permanent Residence or have a current New Zealand Residency Class Visa, and you must be a citizen of and have lived in Australia, Canada, United Kingdom, United States of America or New Zealand continuously for the last five (5) years.
  • You must have a five (5) year background history that can be verified and assessed appropriately by the NZ Security Intelligence Service (NZSIS) to determine if you are suitable for a security clearance at this level.
