About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join our dedicated Radiology team. Our radiology service is committed to providing high-quality diagnostic imaging to support patient care across the region. You will work alongside a team of skilled professionals in a friendly, patient-centred environment. There are opportunities for training, skill development, and career advancement.
The working hours are 80 hours per fortnight (1.0 FTE). Shifts are on a 24/7 rotating roster Monday to Sunday, with no one working alone at one time.
About the Team/Service/ Location
Nelson Hospital Radiology is a leading diagnostic provider with two brand-new Siemens dual energy CT scanners and a team of experienced professionals. Our department offers a comprehensive range of imaging services, including General Radiography, CT scanning, MRI, Interventional/Cardiac Cath Lab and ultrasound, dedicating a gold standard service to a diverse patient population. We pride ourselves on delivering a high-quality diagnostic imaging service to improve patient outcomes.

About you
As a Medical Imaging Technologist , you will:
- Work alongside a team of skilled professionals in a friendly, patient-centred environment.
- Perform high quality diagnostic imaging examinations with accuracy and attention to patient safety.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely imaging that supports patient diagnosis and treatment.
- Provide compassionate care to patients, ensuring comfort and understanding throughout their imaging experience.
- Be a friendly team player with great sense of humor,
- Have sound knowledge of diagnostic radiography,
- Have flexibility and be able to work well under pressure,
- Be NZ registered with the NZMRT Board, and hold a current APC in dual scope of Medical Imaging Technologist and Magnetic Resonance Technologist.
Experience with Siemens CT is an advantage but not essential.
The successful candidate must be eligible to work in New Zealand or hold a valid NZ work visa at the time of applying.
