We are seeking an experienced supervisor for our Central Hawke's Bay Contract to lead our team of operators. As the first line of management, the Networks Supervisor is primarily responsible for managing the day to day workload of the operators operating and maintaining water, wastewater and stormwater networks.


You will coordinate the daily activity of the team, ensuring productivity, efficiency and safety profitability.You are responsible for ensuring service delivery demonstrates Veolia Water's commitment to continuous improvement, innovation and customer service while meeting performance and service Key Performance Indicators and applying Quality and Health and Safety procedures and you will continually drive for improvement by promoting new initiatives, challenging the status quo and aiming for improved efficiencies and operational outcomes.

What you'll be responsible for

  • Coordinate the maintenance and repair of pipes, leaks, blockages and pump stations throughout the Central Hawkes Bay District in accordance with the Contract agreement and Veolia Water's procedures. This involves but is not limited to pricing projects, ordering materials, and planning and scheduling project delivery.
  • Supervise the Networks team and contractors involved - eg. Installation and repair of meters; repairing burst water mains and installation of new manholes.
  • Assist in the operation and maintenance of the water, wastewater and stormwater networks throughout the Central Hawke's Bay District as required.
  • Complete the associated administration work in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Participate in the on-call roster
  • High level engagement with our client, working collaboratively and maintaining consistent communication
  • Continuous development and improvement of the Networks team

What you'll need to be successful

  • Level 4 New Zealand Certificate in Infrastructure Works (Pipeline Construction and Maintenance) (Level 4) - Required
  • Level 3 National Certificate Reticulation. - Required
  • Experience in water and / or wastewater treatment and / or water, wastewater and stormwater network operation and maintenance.
  • Previous experience in service delivery and / or trade is considered advantageous.
  • Current driver's licence (preferably with Class 2).
