About the Role
We are looking for a dynamic healthcare leader with a track record in delivery and achieving clinical and service excellence to undertake this senior exec healthcare opportunity whilst we recruit on a permanent basis. You need to be a quick-study, capable and appropriately decisive to deliver value on a short-term basis It is critical you are an experienced and successful healthcare executive, with an understanding of the NZ context.
You will provide leadership that builds high performing, outcome driven hospital and specialist service delivery and ensure that the experience of patients and their whānau drives how services are delivered in your time with us.
We are looking for someone to backfill the role while we appoint to the role permanently. You may be interested in the permanent opportunity as well as the interim one.
About the Service
This is a time of change, where the contributions of the Group Director Operations role will play a vital role in meeting clearly defined health targets and advancing our commitment to a more accessible, cohesive, and people-centered health system.
Hauora a Toi Bay of Plenty serves over 255,000 people, it provides diverse health services through Tauranga and Whakatane hospitals and community facilities, focusing on accessible care for Māori and other populations. The Bay of Plenty is growing at a faster rate than the New Zealand population, which will bring significant health challenges for the district.
The Bay of Plenty workforce includes over 4,500 staff with significant ethnic and demographic diversity and collaborates regionally with other hospitals in the Te Manawa Taki region to enhance health outcomes.
About you
You will have an executive level track record of strategic leadership and operational excellence success, and thrive in collaborative environments. Your experience should include a strong background in healthcare leadership in NZ.
