The Role
Based at our Hawkes Bay branch, the Operations Assistant provides support to both our depot and fleet teams, to maximise efficiency in our day-to-day operations. It is imperative you are a motivated, reliable and punctual employee, who enjoys working within teams. With a strong work ethic, you'll thrive in fast-paced environments. This role will involve excellent verbal and written communication, and a strong desire to help internal customers. You will excel in improving communications between fleet and depot team members, especially focused on the compliance of the Courier Fleet.
You will also assist in the tidiness, health and safety and maintenance of the depot, while resolving problems and ensuring efficient correct delivery of all freight.
This is a permanent full-time position, working 40 hours per week.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential
- Great communication and time management skillset
- Be a lateral thinker
- Foster positive working relationships with team members
- Strong focus on Health and Safety
- Process focused and able to review current systems and implement improvements to better service our customers whilst reducing costs
- Able to meet time critical targets
