About the Role
As the Operations Performance Advisor, your day to day will consist of operational performance reporting, analysis, and project implementation that drives real business outcomes. Working across multiple teams and stakeholders—including KiwiRail, Greater Wellington Regional Council, and Hyundai Rotem—you’ll be a key influencer in delivering improvement initiatives and positive change.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Generate and review daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports
- Analyse data to inform strategic and operational decisions
- Lead improvement initiatives and embed lasting change
- Maintain and enhance business intelligence tools including Compass and Power BI
- Collaborate across internal and external stakeholders to identify and deliver efficiencies
- Monitor outcomes, provide insights, and support continuous improvement
We’re Looking for Someone With:
- Experience in business improvement, reporting systems, and analysis
- Strong analytical skills and Excel proficiency
- A working knowledge of transport operations (rail preferred but not essential)
- Qualification in Business Analysis or similar
- Understanding of governance frameworks and business process management
- Excellent communication, consultation, and stakeholder management skills
- A collaborative approach and the ability to influence outcomes
- Strategic thinking with the ability to translate data into results
