We are seeking a detail-focused and experienced Payroll Administrator to join our team. This role plays a vital part in ensuring our kaimahi are paid accurately and on time, and in maintaining confidence in one of the most critical aspects of our operations.
Based at our Hawke’s Bay campus, this role offers flexibility of hours and work patterns (with part time and full time options available), and the opportunity to work alongside a collaborative and supportive team.
As the Payroll Administrator, you will:
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing across a complex environment involving multiple employment and agreement types.
- Ensure timely, accurate payroll delivery that meets all relevant legal, policy and operational requirements.
- Maintain payroll records and data integrity, ensuring changes are processed efficiently and accurately.
- Provide payroll reports and insights to support internal planning, audit, and compliance.
- Support kaimahi and managers with payroll-related queries in a timely and mana-enhancing way.
- Contribute to payroll system enhancements and process improvement initiatives.
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Proven experience in end-to-end payroll processing.
- A high level of attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Sound understanding of payroll legislation, employment agreements, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks to deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a customer-service focus.
- Confidence in using digital payroll systems and tools, and openness to continuous improvement.
