Are you ready to bring your payroll and finance skills to a team that values accuracy, collaboration, and a little fun along the way?
We’re on the lookout for a full-time, permanent Payroll Officer to join our fantastic Finance team!
With our payroll function transitioning in-house over the next 12 months, we’re increasing capacity to support this change, making this a newly created permanent role. You’ll work alongside our current Payroll Officer, who’s stepping into a project role to help implement our new organisation-wide system. Your mission? Help things running smoothly and accurately during this period of change.

We’re looking for a proactive, detail-oriented team player who’s ready to grow with us as we roll out a new payroll system and bring the function in-house.
Key Responsibilities | Ngā haepapa matua
Manage payroll processes including liaising with the payroll provider (Affinity), processing payments, reconciliations, preparing Annual Report disclosures and statutory reporting.
Support the development and operation of financial systems and ensure adherence to relevant legislation and Council policies.
Essential Skills and Experience | Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako
Knowledge of payroll systems and processes.
Experience in information and accounting systems.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, TechOne, and Payroll systems.
