Te Kowhiringa I The Opportunity
Our Shine team is one of New Zealand’s leading providers of family violence support and prevention services. We help adult and child victims become safer and stay safer, raise awareness and recognition of family violence, and deliver effective programmes to help prevent and eliminate violence in the home.
Working from our Auckland office this opportunity is to join one of New Zealand’s largest not-for-profits, to develop and align the SHINE Practice framework to the Te Aorerekura Strategy. You will be working with managers and the team to maintain and enhance a consistent level of practice and capability across Shine.
This position is to also to provide frontline support to clients when required and line management of front-line roles when needed as in providing cover for sick leave and/or providing case consultation for the after- hours service. You will also be expected to contribute management escalation to the on call after hours service.
Ngā pūkenga kei a koe I Your Skills and Experience
- A Social Work degree is required
- Min 5 years in a lead role -high level experience and knowledge in Family Violence in supporting Victim Survivors and Users of Violence
- Excellent written, oral and presentation skills
- Exceptional interpersonal skills
- Proven skills and experience in leading and managing best practice services incorporating the use of research methodologies and with the participation of internal/external experts
- Ability to uphold clear and professional boundaries
- Good knowledge of Family Violence and impact on a range of presentations, children, families, disabilities,
Persuasiveness, resilience, determination, tenacity and lateral thinking
