Our Systems Commissioning & Performance (SC&P) Group plays a critical role in shaping how we deliver on that promise — and we’re looking for a Principal Advisor to help us take our strategic thinking and storytelling to the next level.
About the role | Mō te tūranga mahi
- Translate operational and system-level work into compelling, executive-ready narratives and visual presentations.
- Develop high-quality PowerPoint decks, briefing packs, and strategic frameworks.
- Support the DCE SC&P to shape strategic thinking and deliverables, then independently drive them through to completion.
- Collaborate and connect with teams to bring people on the journey and build buy-in for strategic initiatives.
- Help demonstrate how work connects across the system and contributes to broader outcomes.
About you | Mōu
- You have strong strategic thinking and system-level understanding.
- Exceptional PowerPoint and visual storytelling skills.
- Experience working with senior executives and/or boards.
- Ability to work independently, while drawing on the right people at the right time.
- A collaborative, inclusive approach is that great work only lands when others are brought along with it.
Health sector knowledge is not essential — in fact, coming in with a fresh perspective can be a strength. Your role is to help translate complexity for others who may not have that background either.
You’ll be working on the kind of strategic thinking and storytelling that shapes how we operate at the highest levels. You will work closely with the DCE, and you’ll be their trusted partner in making it happen. You’ll have the autonomy to shape and deliver impactful work, while being part of a collaborative and purpose-driven team.

The appointing salary range for this role is $117,787-$166,288, we offer an additional 9% superannuation contribution. with appointment depending on skills and experience.
