About the role
The Procurement and Supply Chain Manager takes a leadership role in executing effective and efficient procurement and supply chain services, ensuring values and competencies in maintaining transparency, integrity, and compliance with established policies and procedures. The role is responsible for managing a small team of Procurement Specialists based within different regions.
The role involves leading/managing the entire process of procurement and supply chain activities, inventory control, logistics, and distribution, ensuring effective processes to avoid costly delays and lost opportunities.
Other duties include:
- Manage the planning and forecasting of procurement and supply chain activities, ensuring timely delivery using the most appropriate procurement procedures.
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with vendors and suppliers to facilitate smooth flow of services. Identify new vendors/suppliers in line with vendor selection processes.
- Implement strategic procurement including sourcing strategy, supplier selection and evaluation, quality management, customer relationship management, and performance measurement
- Introduce process improvements in the supply chain and evaluate for impact.
Skills & experience
Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement and supply chain management, ideally within a relevant service provider or other large complex environment.
Strong knowledge of procurement processes, inventory control, logistics, and distribution.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
