We are HBT, and our clients appreciate the hard work we put in to deliver service that we believe is second to none. Our close-knit team of IT professionals shares ideas and knowledge freely and share a common passion for delivering great results for our clients. We are looking for an IT Procurement and Client Support Liaison with an absolute focus on Client Service who wants to work in a fun and friendly environment, with a real emphasis on excellent outcomes for you, the team, and of course our clients.

An opportunity is available for an IT Client Support and Procurement Liaison to join our HBT team, based in Napier. The position involves interacting with individuals at all levels within HBT, clients, and suppliers.

While prior experience with procurement is valuable, it is important to recognise that the process can be mastered with the right attitude and willingness to learn. Those who approach new challenges with curiosity, patience, and adaptability will quickly become confident in managing procurement tasks, building on their existing skills and contributing positively to the team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing general support to the sales and client engagement process, including assisting with the creation and refinement of quotes and proposals by gathering relevant information and ensuring document accuracy.

  • Coordinating with internal teams, suppliers, and clients to facilitate the delivery of IT hardware and software, using HBT systems and processes.

  • Assisting with IT inventory management tasks such as stock takes and maintaining accurate records, contributing to smooth operational workflows.

  • Supporting continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance existing procedures and practices.

  • Contributing to client implementations and projects, helping manage timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder communications.

Applicants will need to demonstrate the following:

  • Previous experience in the IT industry, with a solid understanding of IT systems and services. Experience within a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment is a plus.

  • Strong organisational and administrative capabilities, with the ability to provide effective support to both Sales and IT teams.

  • Familiarity with IT operations and related systems, including a working knowledge of procurement processes. Experience with platforms such as Autotask is advantageous.

  • Able to communicate with clients and suppliers clearly, in a friendly and helpful manner. Excellent written skills - able to write emails and develop proposals in a sales-focused, credible, and articulate manner.

If your values align with ours, it's time to make the move!

Please include a cover letter and up to date CV with your application.
