Ngā Kōrero mo tēnei tūranga / About the role
Step into a leadership role at the heart of PwC New Zealand’s operations. As our Procurement Manager, based in Tāmaki Makaurau / Auckland, you will lead our procurement strategy that strives to deliver exceptional value, strengthens supplier relationships, and drive sustainable, ethical outcomes for our firm.
This is a unique opportunity to lead our national procurement function while still being close to the action. You’ll partner with stakeholders across the business, help manage key supplier relationships, and drive better outcomes through effective sourcing, negotiation, and contract management.
Whether it’s supporting RFPs, managing spend data, or developing playbooks, this role offers a hands-on leadership experience that blends ownership, autonomy, and collaboration.
Key responsibilities include:
Manage the end-to-end procurement lifecycle, from sourcing through to contract execution
Build and maintain high-value supplier relationships, implementing category strategies and consolidating supplier arrangements.
Drive successful tenders from end to end — from preparation to negotiation and final contract execution.
Partner with Risk & OCG to ensure all supplier contracts align with PwC network standards, legal obligations, and due diligence requirements.
Analyse spend patterns and sustainability metrics (including carbon emissions) to unlock savings, efficiencies, and environmental benefits.
Be a change leader — influencing, educating, and guiding stakeholders to embrace best-practice procurement.
Reduce single-source risk and foster strategic partnerships that strengthen our supplier network.
Ngā pūkenga kei a koe / Skills and experience
We’re looking for a skilled procurement subject matter expert to support contract negotiation, have the insight to spot opportunities, and the credibility to influence at senior levels.

Demonstrated leadership experience, including managing direct reports and influencing diverse stakeholder groups to adopt best-practice procurement.

Understanding of sustainable procurement, including Net Zero and Modern Slavery obligations.
Experience in a professional services, legal, or large corporate environment, highly desirable.
