As the Principal Procurement Partner - Asset, Maintenance and Tenancy, you will lead the strategic development and monitoring of national supply chain strategies to enhance productivity, efficiency, and resilience across K inga Ora's maintenance programmes. You'll conduct market analysis to identify opportunities and risks, and drive long-term transformation initiatives aligned with our sustainability goals. Your commercial expertise will be key in designing and implementing sourcing strategies that deliver both public value and commercial benefits, while negotiating contracts that promote ethical outcomes and embedding social and sustainable procurement objectives throughout our initiatives.
You'll work closely with internal leaders to provide fit-for-purpose procurement advice, build strong relationships with suppliers and industry stakeholders, and represent K inga Ora in cross-government and sector forums. As a leader within the organisation, you'll mentor and support procurement professionals, champion innovation and continuous improvement, and play a pivotal role in sector transformation through collaboration and thought leadership.

Lead strategic transformation drawing on your senior-level procurement experience, MCIPS certification, and deep expertise in supply chain strategy, ethical sourcing, and stakeholder engagement-alongside strong leadership, communication, and a drive for continuous improvement.
Here's what you will bring to the role:
- Tertiary qualification in business management or relevant experience (mandatory).
- MCIPS certification or equivalent procurement knowledge and experience (mandatory).
- 10+ years in procurement/commercial roles, with 5+ years at senior levels.
- Strong background in centralised procurement and high-value, complex commercial projects.
- In-depth understanding of maintenance sector products, supply chains, and commercial arrangements.
- Proven leadership in high-performing teams, with coaching and mentoring capability.
- Expertise in ethical, social, and sustainable procurement practices.
- Strategic thinker with excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
- Exceptional communication and presentation abilities, with attention to detail and a drive for continuous improvement.
