About the Role
We are welcoming applications from New Zealand Registered Occupational Therapists who will provide professional and strategic leadership for occupational therapists working across Health NZ Waikato. You will be a valued member of the Allied Health, Scientific and Technical leadership team partnering with other Allied Health professional leads and operational leads across our organisation.

About the Team/Service
Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora Waikato Occupational Therapists who work across both mental and physical health services across a number of sites across the district of Waikato. You will be joining a friendly team of Allied Health professional leads who work closely in collaboration with our operational partners.
About you
Are you a dynamic forward thinking occupational therapist with leadership experience who is passionate about advocating for the profession, driven by maximising the positive impact of occupational therapy on patient outcomes, and capable of strategic leadership. You will be the type of person who leads by example and creates an opportunity for people to thrive through high levels of engagement.
Qualities we are looking for
- NZ Registered Occupational Therapist.
- Minimum of 5 years clinical experience.
- Future thinking, looking at incorporating service improvement projects that improve patient outcomes and effectively utilise resources.
- Ability to work in partnership with operational partners to drive services forward, consider innovative ways of working to make the most of the resources available.
- Personal skills/characteristics: approachable, supportive, team player, visionary, strategic, models integrity and empowers staff development within the team.
