About the Role
As the Regional Group Manager – Facilities Management you will lead the delivery of maintenance and engineering services across the Te Waipounamu Region. This role will help integrate national asset management strategy into regional operations, ensuring our infrastructure meets operational needs and supports long term sustainability.
Working closely with the Regional Head Infrastructure and other stakeholders, you will oversee the planning, delivery, and continuous improvement of facilities management. Be part of a team who help shape service delivery and ensure alignment with Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora's strategic goals.
About the Team/Service
The IIG team are focused on delivering high-impact infrastructure investments that support the transformation of New Zealand's health system. Giving support, oversight and assurance across projects and programmes, they understand that safe, fit for purpose health facilities, sites and equipment are essential for a well-functioning health system that improves the health of all New Zealanders
About you
You are an experienced leader who brings a deep understanding of facilities and asset management, engineering, and strategic planning across complex environments, ideally in the Health or Public Sector.
With over 15 years of experience leading large, diverse teams, you are a people first leader, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and leading through change with clarity and purpose. Bringing a wealth of operational expertise and a passion for delivering high quality, sustainable infrastructure services, ensuring that facilities and infrastructure support equitable health outcomes for all communities.
You will bring:
- Proven success managing operational budgets over $25 million
- Proven success in asset management, including the development and implementation of strategic maintenance plans
- Demonstrated ability to lead through change, implement new systems, and drive innovation
- Strong understanding of building systems, compliance frameworks, and sustainability practices
- Experience working in multicultural and diverse environments, with a strong understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and Pae Ora (Healthy Futures) Act 2022
