About the Role
We have a permanent, full-time position available for a Retail Pharmacist to work in our on-site outpatient/retail pharmacy in Auckland City Hospital.
The focus will be primarily dispensing and counselling for discharged patients and clinic outpatients, however there is an opportunity to develop retail and OTC sales as there are many staff working on site as well as many visitors.
You will also be required to provide support for retail sales and be responsible for the management of the stock including ordering, receipting and stock control as well as providing support to the pharmacy team.
About you
To apply for this role you must:
- Be registered with the Pharmacy Council of New Zealand
- Have a current Annual Practising Certificate
- Have 1-3 years’ experience working in a Community/Hospital Pharmacy

About the Service
Our Pharmacy department is an innovative and exciting place to work. We employ over 100 staff working within two retail pharmacies, Aseptic Production Unit and a flagship inpatient service. We serve over 1200 inpatient beds. Our guiding principle is to put the patient first in everything we do. Our award winning and growing clinical pharmacy service has over 40 pharmacists working across both secondary and tertiary level services. We have a robust service strategy which ensures that our staff are continuingly driving to work at the top of their scope and pushing the boundaries of clinical pharmacy practice.
