Mō te tūranga | About the Role
We're looking for a Senior Analyst - Financial Crime Analytics to join our passionate and high-performing team.
In this high-impact role, you'll be at the heart of ASB's data-driven defence against financial crime. Your analytical expertise will help shape the future of our Transaction Monitoring programme, ensuring we stay ahead of emerging threats and continue to protect what matters most.
You'll be responsible for:
- Supporting the development, optimisation, and documentation of Transaction Monitoring, Customer, and Payment Screening rules and models.
- Delivering analytics and reporting to meet Line 2 compliance and regulatory requirements.
- Translating complex requirements into feasible, data-driven solutions.
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders, CBA representatives, and third-party vendors to deliver strategic solutions.
- Maintaining effective controls and governance over rule design and implementation.
Ō pūkenga | About You
We're looking for someone who brings:
- Strong SQL skills and experience working with large, complex datasets.
- Knowledge of financial crime (AML/Sanctions) and/or fraud is advantageous.
- A background in banking or financial services.
- Experience in project and change management is a plus.
- Confidence in communicating technical insights to non-technical audiences.
- A continuous improvement mindset and investigative approach to problem-solving.
- A tertiary qualification in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
