About the Role
The role of the Senior Analyst in Data Services is to analyse and make publicly available health and disability information from Te Whatu Ora's National Collections and other data sources.
The role involves gathering requirements from clients and stakeholders, developing publications and other information products to meet their needs, and working with a range of stakeholders to coordinate data and information which is available publicly. Publications include data tables, visualisations (charts, graphs), and written explanations of the data.
As a senior in the team, the role also trains and mentors colleagues, supports the Manager with leadership of the team, improves business processes and efficiency of working, and ensures the re-usability and efficiency of code.
About you
You will bring proven experience in data visualisation and presentation, along with confidence in working with large and/or administrative datasets. You're someone who enjoys mentoring and training others, helping to build capability and lift team performance. Comfortable leading complex analysis and projects, you approach challenges with curiosity and rigour.
Your excellent relationship-building skills, strong client focus, and positive, helpful approach mean you can connect effectively and deliver on client needs. With strong written and oral communication skills and a sharp eye for detail, you are able to present insights clearly and with impact.
