We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Digital Sales Manager to join our Digital, Data & Analytics (DD&A) team.
As a team we have the business accountability for BNZ’s digital channels (mobile applications, internet banking platforms and website). This includes the development and implementation of the Digital Channel Strategy for BNZ, delivering value and efficiencies for our customers and colleagues, by driving sustained behaviour change in the adoption of our digital solutions and the management and prioritisation of the enterprise digital backlog and investment.

What are 5 day to day tasks the person in this role will complete?
- Define & drive digital sales experience strategy for digital channels
- Define and prioritise the digital sales roadmap
- Lead the prioritisation, planning and execution of digital sales initiatives and optimisation
- Facilitate engagement with stakeholders across the enterprise ensuring transparency, communication, alignment
- Collaboration with platform managers / owners, designers and analysts to deliver market leading digitally enabled sales experiences
What is the team culture and environment like?
The Digital Channels team is a small, effective team that operates at the intersection of business, technology, and support functions, enabling collaboration and alignment across the bank. There are many in the team with deep knowledge of BNZs channels and services and wide bank networks. Thanks to our small size we operate with a relaxed hierarchy and an open communication style. We are spread across Auckland and Wellington.
What projects / work will the candidate be working on now and into the next year?
We are embarking upon a multi-year programme of digital transformation, modernisation and experience enhancements. The Senior Digital Sales Manager is an essential role to be able to define the vision for the digital sales experience flows with BNZ as a whole, as well as the individual component parts that make up the experience. Clear direction and prioritisation facilitates decision-making and enables us to bring our customer and colleagues along on the journey to achieving our organisational goals.
What skills are required for this role?
- Experience in strategy: product vision in line with the corporate strategy
- Experience in digital SDLC: Requirements, Design, CX/UX and software development etc.
- Experience with data-driven decisions: data, metrics and reporting to guide decisions
- Influence without authority: influence cross-functional teams
- Problem Solving: strong analytical skills for identifying and addressing challenges
- Communication: Clear and effective communicator, both written and verbal
- Enterprise backlog management: creating, prioritising and managing
- Experience at working in an agile environment
What attributes will this person display in order to be successful in this role?
We are looking for someone with the ability to understand digital end to end product acquisition experiences and create new or improved market leading solutions and experiences. You will also bring:
- A track record in senior and cross-functional stakeholder and enterprise backlog management, including ability to challenge and solve for competing priorities.
- The ability to work effectively with people in all levels of the organisation and maintain a high pace of output.
- Good industry knowledge around eCommerce and product acquisition.
