Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity
We are looking for a Senior Media Planner to lead the charge in optimizing our media investments and enhancing customer experiences across Tāmaki Makaurau.
This is more than just media planning. You'll be at the heart of AT's mission to improve public transport services and customer satisfaction. By managing our media spend and Out of Home (OOH) inventory, you'll help shape how Aucklanders engage with our brand every day—from street furniture to billboards and beyond.
What You'll Do
- Strategically allocate media spend across paid and owned channels.
- Develop and execute multi-platform media plans.
- Negotiate and purchase advertising space.
- Manage AT's premium inventory (AVP) across vehicles, stations, and council assets.
- Collaborate with creative and marketing teams to deliver impactful campaigns.
- Track performance and optimize media partnerships.
- Engage internal and external stakeholders to influence outcomes.
- Drive commercial growth while keeping customer experience at the core.
Nā tāu rourou | What will you bring?
To thrive in this role, you'll bring a relevant bachelor's degree and over a decade of experience in media planning and strategy. Your ability to manage stakeholders and navigate the media landscape with confidence will be essential, as will your proven track record of working autonomously in strategic roles. Bonus points if you've worked in an in-house media environment and have a strong grasp of New Zealand's media ecosystem.
Key qualifications:
- A relevant bachelor's degree
- 10+ years in media planning and strategy
- Strong stakeholder management and industry knowledge
