The difference you’ll make
We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our core engineering team. This is a hands-on role building our enterprise data masking and privacy protection platform, where you’ll work on high-performance Python applications that transform sensitive data across a wide range of enterprise database systems.
You’ll face unique challenges in data privacy, security, and performance optimisation - and your work will have a direct impact on the safety of data for enterprises worldwide.
What you’ll do
Develop and maintain our Python-based data masking engine for discovery and transformation
Build deep database integrations across Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Snowflake, and DynamoDB
Optimise performance at enterprise scale, handling billions of records
Work with distributed systems using Celery and Redis
Collaborate with the team on Rust-based performance components
Write robust, type-safe, and well-tested code with MyPy, Ruff, and pytest
What we’re looking for
5+ years Python and/or Rust development experience with large-scale applications
Strong database expertise (such as Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc.)
Security-focused development mindset
Advanced database skills: query and connectivity optimisation, performance tuning
Passion for code correctness: MyPy, type hints, and strong testing practices
Experience with Docker and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
Nice to haves
Experience with Rust and/or Python development
Database administration background
Prior work in regulated industries (finance, healthcare, etc.)
Knowledge of data security or privacy frameworks such as HIPAA and GDPR
