Te Tūranga – The Role

Are you a strong team player who has a good understanding of software architecture and design, a knack for solving problems, and a passion for delivering quality products? If so, apply to join Tait's Engineering Team as a Senior Software Engineer.

In this role you will join a small software team working on critical components that shape how our customers configure, calibrate, and update our radios. This is an excellent opportunity to step into a Senior role where you can train and mentor others in engineering design methodologies and contribute to the ongoing development of a high performing team.

In this role you will

  • Get to experience the full software lifecycle of our projects
  • Provide technical leadership to a small team of developers
  • Work in a cross-functional, agile, development team
  • Be immersed in a complex and challenging role
  • Be exposed to numerous technologies
  • Get cake when we release software

Ō pūkenga – About You

  • Experience in C# .Net, ASP, React, JavaScript/TypeScript, MS SQL and MAUI or other C# based UI frameworks
  • Have a strong grasp of software architecture and experience defining it
  • Must be able to create documentation that supports complex development work
  • Able to implement testing strategies to ensure code quality
  • Communicating with other team members to share knowledge
  • Can work in an agile environment

Desirable

  • Have experience with LMR radio products and their configuration options
  • User experience (UX) design
  • An understanding of cryptographic mechanisms
  • Azure experience
  • SonarQube experience
