We're on the hunt for a Senior Stakeholder Engagement Advisor to join our busy Land & Planning team in Taranaki. If you've got a strong background in stakeholder engagement, particularly in establishing and managing relationships with iwi and mana whenua then read on!
This role sets out to ensure that well managed external relationships contribute towards the safe and legally compliant operation of high-pressure pipelines and associated infrastructure, along with the protection and exercising of existing legal rights. To do this you'll need to be safety and relationship focused, and be prepared to get out in the field to engage. You'll be comfortable dealing with a range of people including the Firstgas team, landowners/occupiers, contractors, iwi and local government with the goal to deliver exceptional relationship management.
The successful candidate will work closely with teams across the business to provide stakeholder engagement, consultation, negotiation, coordination, safety awareness, and support and education services. You'll also coach and mentor others within the team and wider business to upskill and develop in the stakeholder engagement space.
Qualifications

This important role provides an exciting opportunity to maintain, develop, build and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders , particularly iwi and kaitiaki of the whenua and waterways of which our assets occupy. You'll need at least 5 years proven experience working in this space.
You'll also need a full drivers licence, self management skills and a commitment to safety. You should be confident using MS applications such as Word, Excel, Teams.
