Freightways Information Services Ltd (FIS) is an internal shared services provider of information technology and advisory services to the Freightways businesses. We are responsible for managing Freightways' overall information technology infrastructure and maintain relationships with selected external technology suppliers.

This role will be at the forefront of major transformation projects across Sales, Finance, and Operations — helping to evolve our technology landscape towards modern, cloud-based enterprise platforms, robust integrations, and innovative bespoke solutions that deliver maximum business value.

Key Responsibilities
- Play a major role in projects transforming the existing legacy environment into a modern architecture that utilises the best of “as a service” enterprise platforms (such as Microsoft Dynamics 365), enterprise integration tools & patterns (such as MuleSoft), microservices, and bespoke applications.
- Participate in roadmap planning with stakeholders, the Architecture Group, and Product Owners to maintain an architectural runway and remove impediments.
- Work with project teams to develop solution designs that meet business objectives, align with technical strategy, and deliver elegant simplicity.
- Collaborate in Agile refinements to ensure solutions remain consistent with FIS architectural direction.
- Ensure development conforms to FIS software standards, including documenting design decisions, reviewing code, and validating against agreed scope and design.
- Work closely with external vendors to manage deliverables, ensure alignment with business priorities, and drive performance outcomes.
About You
You’ll bring 5+ years’ experience in architecture roles for cloud-native solutions, with expertise in:
- Enterprise “as a service” platforms such as Microsoft Dynamics 365.
- Enterprise integration tools and patterns such as MuleSoft, including API-led connectivity.
- Integrating enterprise platforms with bespoke applications.
- IaaS and PaaS on AWS and/or Azure (both advantageous).
- Security and business continuity planning in cloud environments.
- Microservices & Messaging Architectures and REST API principles for modern API-centric experiences.
- Agile development practices.
- Proven ability to discover requirements, evaluate approaches, document designs, and mentor development teams.
