Job Description
We're looking for an 2x experienced Store Person/ Despatch Support with the right attitude and experience to join our team in Wellington in a Stores / Despatch support position for the night shift. In this role you will assist the operations and stores team with the running of the warehouse operations and dispatch functions.
The accountabilities of this role include but are not limited to:
- Dispatch and run consolidation for dedicated Hall’s customers – weekends as required
- Set up day deliveries operation as per previous days planning
- Maintain on time freight ready and departures of parcel freight for network
- Forklift and material handling equipment operations
- Picking, packing and dispatching customer orders
- Receiving, checking and putting away incoming stock
- Unpacking of pallets / packing stock away
- Accurate planning of load from load out manifest
- Ensuring ALL freight is loaded correctly and in FULL as per manifest
- Updating of manifests if freight is added or removed
- Completing of manifest details once unit is loaded/unloaded
- Ensuring loaded trailers are set to the correct set point and are per freight specifications.
- Ensuring ALL export and frozen freight are temperature probed and temperatures recorded on manifest
- Ensuring that all Health and Safety rules and regulations are followed and adhered to
- Tracking of all inbound and outbound units to Depot and Customer sites and updating CS/Operations Teams
Role 1:
Monday through to Friday 04:00 - 14:00 and rostered weekends.
Role 2:
Monday - Friday 13:00 - 21:00 and rostered weekends.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role you must possess the following:
- A switched on approach, an eye for detail as well as being a team player.
- Previous experience in handling stock and warehouse procedures.
- Forklift certified (Counterbalance) essential.
- Committed to working Monday - Friday with the occasional overtime including weekends and/or public holidays.
- Previous experience working in a temperature controlled environment is advantageous.
- A positive attitude and a strong work ethic.
