Job Description

Our Auckland Transport team is looking for a Structural Engineer to work on a range of major and medium-sized infrastructure projects such as Te Wai Takamori o Te Awa Kairangi (Riverlink) and Inland Rail.

  • Ensure high standards of quality, accuracy, and timeliness in the execution of design tasks and project deliverables relating to structural engineering
  • Prepare clear, well-structured technical reports and support the development of proposals and other project documentation
  • Foster effective communication and coordination with internal teams, clients, and suppliers to support successful project outcomes
  • Contribute to a collaborative, fast-paced team environment with a strong commitment to continuous learning and professional development

  • Minimum 3 years of professional bridge and civil structures design experience office experience in New Zealand, with 2+ years of professional structural design experience and a relevant tertiary qualification.
  • Capability in New Zealand earthquake design, with design experience suited to New Zealand geotechnical conditions.
  • Well versed in local design practices, codes, and compliance specific to New Zealand infrastructure projects, specifically experience designing in accordance with the NZTA Bridge Manual, New Zealand Standards,
  • Familiar with using MIDAS Civil, and proficient user of the Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
