Summer Assistant Vacancy - Te Amorangi (Fixed term - 12 weeks)

Te Tūranga - The Role:
Our Te Amorangi team provide strategic advice and leadership on Māori outcomes, relationship management and we're working on organisation integration of Te Ao Māori… and we need your help!
We need someone to help us:
- Support our work with hapu and iwi around policy, planning and environment management kaupapa.
- Support the development of Iwi Hapu Management planning documents.
- Work collaboratively with tangata whenua throughout the Bay of Plenty region.
- Support initiatives to strengthen Māori capability and capacity to engage in the work of Toi Moana.
Ngā Pūkenga, ngā wheako - Your Skills & Experience:
Ideal applicants for this role should be studying or plan to commence study towards Environmental Planner, Planning or Policy, Legal, Local Government and Resource Management related qualification and have:
- An understanding and ability to work in a tikanga and Te Ao Māori space.
- An ability to read, analyse and summarise documents.
- A passion for looking at innovative and smarter ways of delivery of work.
- An ability to work in different databases and other programmes.
- The ability to work unsupervised.
- A current drivers licence.
This position will be located in Whakatāne.
