About the role

We are looking for a Legal Secretary to join the Tax team in our Auckland office. Working with the team that oversee trusts, estates and private clients, along with taxation advice, in this role you will:
  • Supporting partners as well as the wider team of lawyers
  • Manage client correspondence and communication
  • Opening, maintaining, and closing client files; organizing and archiving documents; ensuring confidentiality and compliance.
  • A wide range of other administrative and PA duties as required
  • Leading monthly billing including assisting with time entry, preparing and sending invoices

Ideally, you will have
  • Previous experience in a legal secretary or legal assistant role, ideally within tax, trusts, or estate planning.
  • A positive and enthusiastic attitude
  • A proactive approach to your work - the ability to work on tasks unprompted and anticipate needs.
  • Professional communication skills and a client-focused approach.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and legal practice management systems.
