Are you an experienced and proactive leader with a passion for healthcare administration and people management?
We’re looking for a Team Supervisor to join a large, respected healthcare organisation based in Greenlane for a 3–6 month temporary assignment, with potential to extend into a longer-term opportunity.
In this crucial role, you will provide effective day-to-day operational leadership to a busy and dedicated patient administration team. Your focus will be on delivering high-quality, flexible and patient-centred booking and reception services, ensuring timely access to care across the organisation.
The role:
- Provide hands-on daily supervision and operational support to the admin team
- Delegate tasks effectively, considering individual strengths and experience
- Coordinate and monitor workloads, ensuring efficiency and service quality
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and team development activities
- Lead and participate in performance management processes
- Assist the Business Support Manager in delivering consistent standards and processes across the team
- Promote team-building and a culture of continuous improvement
The ideal candidate will:
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and how to apply its principles in your work
- Have proven leadership experience in a healthcare or clinical administration setting
- Bring strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Be confident in decision-making and working under pressure
- Be skilled in coaching, performance management, and leading through change
- Have excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
- Be tech-savvy with sound computer skills (MS Office and other healthcare systems)
- Understand the structure, processes, and values of healthcare organisations
- Be a natural team builder with a clear professional vision and the ability to motivate others
