The Opportunity
Due to staff movements, we have a rare opportunity for a motivated Traffic Management Coordinator to join our team in Marlborough. As the Traffic Management Coordinator, you will be responsible for Traffic Management in the Marlborough Roads team (based in Blenheim) in accordance with our Company Real Values.
As our Traffic Management Coordinator, you will work closely with internal departments and external clients, ensuring safe, effective, consistent Traffic Management delivery. The role will have a strong focus on managing the day-to-day delivery and performance of our TM team as well as ensuring compliance with internal/external Health & Safety and Quality Standards.
You will also be responsible for:
  • Interacting with customers
  • Driving work programs, including scheduling, productivity, utilisation, cost management & control, efficiency, and revenue and profit enhancement
  • People management
What you’ll bring to the table
You will have strong leadership and management skills, a proven track record in developing successful teams and fostering positive, collaborative, customer centric and a performance orientated workplace culture. The successful candidate will preferably have solid knowledge of CoPTTM and/or the NZGTTM and industry training requirements. Primary skills required for this position are:
  • Experience in managing and leading staff, focus on developing and bring the best out of the team
  • STMS qualification is preferred, but not essential
  • Excellent coordination and problem-solving skills
  • Clear communication, making sure requests are dealt with promptly and accurately
  • High computer literacy
  • Current drivers licence
